A single-wide is the most affordable way into a brand-new home: one section, usually 14 to 16 feet wide, delivered in a single trip and set in days rather than months. Most of ours run two or three bedrooms between roughly 500 and 1,200 square feet.

They fit lots a bigger home can’t — narrow acreage, family land, rental parcels — and they carry the same HUD-code construction and manufacturer warranties as any double-wide.
